All Nippon Airways (ANA) Boeing 787-9 JA839A Diverts to Cairns

During the late hours of Monday 14th December, All Nippon Airways (ANA) Boeing 787-9 JA839A diverted to Cairns.

The Boeing 787 was operating Sydney Kingsford Smith (YSSY) - Tokyo Haneda (RJTT) as NH880.

A while later, it continued on to Tokyo Haneda (RJTT) as NH880.

  2. From listening to ATC on scanner it sounded like medical diversion

    1. Anon, your information was spot-on. I had a Japanese friend translate a tweet from a Japanese passenger onboard that flight. Apparently a passenger was taken from the aircraft & placed in an ambulance with all other passengers remaining onboard. Aircraft was refuelled.
