Qantas Freight Boeing 767-300F Pops in Again

Once again, Qantas Freight Boeing 767-300F VH-EFR arrived in Cairns at around midday today from Hong Kong (VHHH) as QF7532.

About one hour later, the freighter departed Cairns for Sydney Kingsford Smith (YSSY) still using the Flight Number QF7532.

Qantas Freight Boeing 767-300F Visits Again

For the second time this week, Qantas Freight Boeing 767-300F VH-EFR arrived in Cairns. This time, however, the freighter arrived from Auckland (NZAA) as QF7533.

According to Flightaware, it will be departing for Hong Kong (VHHH) as QF7531 very soon.


Virgin Australia Boeing 777-300ER Diverts to Cairns

Early this morning, Virgin Australia Boeing 777-300ER VH-VPE operating VA8 from Los Angeles (KLAX) to Brisbane (YBBN) diverted to Cairns. It is unknown as to why the 777 diverted, however, it is likely due to bad weather in Brisbane.

About an hour later, it departed for Brisbane (YBBN) as VA8.

Only last month, this 777 returned to Australia from Singapore after being repainted into the new Virgin Australia livery. Below is a photo I took of it departing Sydney in December 2013:
In fact, I believe this was the very last Virgin Australia 777 to be repainted into the new Virgin Australia livery.

Qantas Freight Boeing 767 Makes a Quick Visit

Early this morning, Qantas Boeing 767-300F VH-EFR arrived from Hong Kong (VHHH) as QF7532. About an hour later, the 767F departed to Sydney Kingsford Smith (YSSY) still using the Flight Number QF7532.

This is Qantas Freight's only 767-300F. Their fleet also consists of four 737-300Fs and one 747-400F being leased from Atlas Air.

Another Air New Zealand A320SL Transits Through

Late Monday night, Air New Zealand's fifth Airbus A320SL ZK-OXE arrived from Singapore Changi (WSSS) as NZ6399.

On Tuesday afternoon, the A320SL departed Cairns for Auckland (NZAA) as NZ6399.

RAAF KC-30 Tanker Missed Approach at Cairns

This afternoon, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus KC-30A MRTT A39-002 conducted a missed approach at Cairns Airport.

The KC-30A, one of five in the RAAF's fleet, departed RAAF Base Amberley (YAMB) and headed north to Cairns. Upon finals to Runway 15, the tanker conducted a missed approach and tracked back to RAAF Base Amberley (YAMB).

Qantas 'Disney Planes' Boeing 767 Photos and Video

This morning, Qantas Boeing 767-300 VH-OGG arrived in Cairns from Sydney (YSSY) as QF924.

This 767-300 has been in the 'Disney Planes' livery for about six months now.

About an hour later it departed back to Sydney (YSSY) as QF925. Below is the video of it departing:
