Qantas 747-400 Diverts to Cairns

This morning, Qantas Boeing 747-400 VH-OJS diverted to Cairns whilst en-route Singapore Changi (WSSS) - Brisbane (YBBN) as QF52.

A few hours later, the 14 year old Boeing 747, fitted with four powerful Rolls Royce RB211 engines, departed to Brisbane (YBBN), still using the Flight Number QF52.

It is unknown as to why the Boeing 747 diverted to Cairns, however, one suggestion is that it diverted because of bad weather in Brisbane.
