RAAF KC-30 Tanker Missed Approach at Cairns

This afternoon, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Airbus KC-30A MRTT A39-002 conducted a missed approach at Cairns Airport.

The KC-30A, one of five in the RAAF's fleet, departed RAAF Base Amberley (YAMB) and headed north to Cairns. Upon finals to Runway 15, the tanker conducted a missed approach and tracked back to RAAF Base Amberley (YAMB).

All five of the RAAF's KC-30A's are operated by No.33 Squadron at RAAF Base Amberley.
