Midday Heavies Departing

Yesterday I captured two heavies departing Cairns - both of which we will be seeing for not much longer.

Below is Qantas Boeing 767-300 VH-OGO departing for Sydney (YSSY) as QF925:

Sadly, there are now only 13 QF 767s left

Qantas have recently retired three GE fitted Boeing 767s - OGV, OGP and OGQ

Along with all seven Rolls Royce fitted 767s

All the Qantas 767s are expected to be retired by 2015

Next is Jetstar Airbus A330-200 VH-EBC departing Cairns bound for Narita (RJAA) as JQ25:

Jetstar's A330s will also become a rarity soon - as all of JQ's A330s are being transferred back to Qantas because Jetstar are receiving new Boeing 787 Dreamliners

-EBQ and -EBR are currently in Brisbane being reconfigured into Qantas mainline. They are expected to be repainted into QF Livery very soon
