New Zealand Planespotting Photos - Including Boeing 787-9 Demonstrator - Part 1

This the first part in my series of posts from New Zealand:

Whilst waiting for my flight from Cairns to Sydney, Jetstar's second Boeing 787-8 - VH-VKB was parked on Taxiway Golf

After the flight to Sydney, I captured another 787 - this time Air India Boeing 787-8 VT-ANN

Qantas Boeing 747-400ER VH-OEI

Qantas Boeing 737-400 VH-TJS, probably my last time getting a QF734 as they will be retired by about March 2014

Korean Air Boeing 747-400 HL-7460. I photographed this 744 in Cairns when it came through on a charter flight in late April 2013

Air New Zealand Boeing 747-400 ZK-NBV preparing for it's next flight

Air New Zealand Airbus A320SL ZK-OXA. I also captured this aircraft in Cairns upon it's delivery flight to Air New Zealand in June last year

Jetstar Airbus A320 VH-VQC

And lastly, here is Boeing's second 787-9 - N789FT (ZB002) when it over-nighted in Auckland on a demonstration and proving trip. Air New Zealand is the launch customer of this aircraft type. Boeing flew it to demonstrate to ANZ in Auckland, before it continued on for hot weather testing in Alice Springs via Brisbane.

Apparently, the 787-9 was conducting hot weather testing in Alice Springs for a week.

Upon it's return flight to Boeing Field via Honolulu, it made a quick transit through Cairns to clear Customs and refuel!

Part 2 to come soon.
